Interview with Mrs Braid and Mr James Roy

T he Cumbernauld Historical Society provided two further interview transcripts, with Mrs Braid and Mr James Roy, both of Cumbernauld Village. However I did not find audio recordings of these interviews. Nonetheless here are the interview transcripts in case these are of interest. View a scan of the transcript of the interview with Mr James Roy of Cumbernauld Village . The transcript is very clear and well typed up (unlike some of the other transcripts I've posted on this site). Further I'm pleased to also provide  the transcript of the interview with Mrs Braid of Cumbernauld Village .

Interview with David Boyle

In this 46 minute interview with Mr David Boyle, the Cumbernauld Historical Society gets to grips with life in Cumbernauld village. In this interview, the audio quality of the recording is decent, which is lucky because I did not find a transcript of this interview in the folder and therefore cannot provide a transcript for this one.

Interview with Mrs E. Ferraioli

In this dramatic and interesting 47 minute interview with Mrs E. Ferraioli, the Cumbernauld Historical Society hears of the tragedies and highlights of the life of this fascinating lady from Cumbernauld village. From her Italian husband dying while sitting beside her at the theatre, to nearly losing their young child in a bus accident shortly afterwards, are just two of the touching insights Mrs. Farraioli has given us into her life in Cumbernauld Village. View a scan of the transcript of this interview The audio quality of the recording is very decent, probably the best in this collection of tapes. Nonetheless reading the transcript while listening may be useful for some listeners.

Interview with Mrs Mary Bryson and Mrs Nan Dent of Cumbernauld Village, 1992

In this 47 minute interview with Mrs Mary Bryson and Mrs Nan Dent, the Cumbernauld Historical Society hears about the details of their life and times in Cumbernauld village. This interview is historically relevant and a good wee gossip at the same time! View a scan of the transcript of this interview In this interview, the audio quality of the recording is alright but not great. Therefore reading the transcript while listening may be helpful for listeners wishing to make understand the all details clearly.
